Climate & Clothing Suggestions
The “dry” season is from May to November and is the easiest time to travel. June to August are the coolest months, with cold mornings & evenings. October is the hottest month in Zambia, so be prepared for temperatures of over 40 degrees celcius if you travel then.
Opening:
24 June 2008
High Season:
16 June - 31 October
Low Season:
15 April – 15 June
01 November – 15 November
(depending on the rains we might have to open
later)
Clothing should be cool and comfortable. Jerseys and heavier jackets are required for winter mornings and evenings. Muted colours are the
most suitable on safari. We advise long sleeves and long trousers for mornings and evenings due to mosquitoes. Sturdy and comfortable shoes are
essential. Rafters for canoe excursions.
A fully complimentary laundry service is offered daily.

Accommodation and Facilities
Enjoy the beautiful riverbank setting at Kulefu ‘the faraway place’, which offers excellent game viewing opportunities, as the wildlife is concentrated in the land corridor between the steep escarpment and the river.
The camp offers seven spacious chalets with twin or double beds, mosquito nets, ensuite facilities and tranquil view of the Zambezi River.
The central lounge and dining area are housed in two magnificent Bedouin style
tents, giving an open air feel and harmonising with the surrounding environment. Teak furniture and natural fabrics add an authentic
and luxurious feel to this camp. There is a refreshing swimming pool and teak deck overlooking the river.
Guests can also sit around an evening fire on the banks of the river.
Batteries can be charged by generator and lights in the evening are supplied by 220 volt inverter. Traditional paraffin lamps illuminate pathways and tent entrances.
